Yame Matcha Premium Ceremonial Grade tastes great with Oatside. For its price and quality, itโs definitely worth buying ๐ต
I use 2 tsps for my matcha latte and it already taste good without any sweetener. It pairs perfectly well with oat milk (iced), while I prefer drinking it hot with soy milk. Itโs umami taste and earthiness is balanced, and it has the right amount of sweetness to it.
I use 3 tsps for baking cookies and I can say that it tastes really really great! Itโs sad that Iโd have to wait to buy another matcha can (bc itโs expensive ๐ ) so I can bake matcha cookies again. Nevertheless, Iโd definitely recommend trying this one and Iโd definitely buy this again!!
I prepared it as usucha, koicha, and a latteโand for me, it truly stands out as a koicha and latte. I also did a little taste comparison with Ummon, and Asahi definitely tastes like a sweeter version of it. Itโs officially part of my top 6 matcha favorites, which Iโll be sharing soon!โจ
๐aroma: fresh grass, buttery, bit toasty
๐texture: creamy, smooth, velvety
๐โญ๏ธkoicha: rich umami, mellow vegetal notes, sweet, toasted undertones, touch of bitterness
๐usucha: delicate umami, sweet, floral undertones, lingering aftertaste, pleasant astringency
๐โญ๏ธlatte: mellow vegetal notes, natural sweetness, a touch of bitterness with a pleasant savory aftertaste, rich umami
๐kinda reminded me of
as koicha: Kinrin
as usucha: Wako
as latte: Ummon
Perfect for daily matcha!!
First time ordering matcha from this shop, and Iโm seriously impressed. Shipping was fast, and the packaging was clean, secure, plus the freebies! โค๏ธ
Really happy with the quality and will definitely order again!
Perfect balance of Umami and Vegetal ๐ซถ๐ป made matcha with this twice and enjoyed both times. Will definitely repurchase!
I love this so much! It's my first ever tin can of matcha and it's by YK. It's one of the most affordable good quality matcha and I would definitely buy again someday!
Beginner friendly, medium bodied, sweet, creamy and nutty. Lives up to it's description. Easy to drink, no bitterness and no astringency. Definitely repurchasing this!
This is my first time trying single cultivar and I am happy that I tried it first with Yabukita especially since it's one of the most grown and used cultivars in blending matcha flavors that we commonly know. Given its simplicity, it really made me appreciate how matcha is meant to be consumed despite Yabukita being known to have a bitter and astringent profile (hence why it is often recommended for latte and baking).
Upon opening, I was met with a grassy and sweet smell. It also has a slightly dull green color.
As usucha, it tastes very tart, earthy and has astringency. If you have been to Japan and got to try iced usucha from a mom and pop shop, IT TASTES EXACTLY LIKE THAT!
As latte, the earthiness and astringency became more prominent and the tartness doesn't really show. As expected, milk can overpower the taste of matcha. So if you intend to use it as a latte, don't be shy to put in more powder ;)
I can definitely still see myself drinking this in usucha form whenever I feel like reminiscing Japan :)
very happy to secure a tin from YK, it smells and taste mainly like nori which I'm not a fan off but for this price point, I'm glad to be able to try it!! The seller packed my package with alot of care and was very happy to see that they gave me a small hojicha sample and a , thank you so much!! Will definitely be back soon ๐๐
This matcha is true to its description: nutty, creamy, and a little astringent. Youโll first taste the nuttiness and it ends with the astringency and a lasting vegetal note (that isnโt grassy - Iโd describe it as closer to leafy vegetables haha). Would buy again!
Super trusted si seller. Upon tasting it, I honestly prefer Yugen and Samidori over Chigi. Kinda bland si Chigi for me.
I love how fast the shipping was for my order! Tried this matcha and so far it's pretty good as an everyday matcha latte. Has some astringency but it's not that bad. Some bitterness as an usucha but goes away in the latte. Will definitely order again!
not very specific with my taste about matcha but this is a good matcha just a little less creamy than how i normally want it like the one i got from MK but overall pretty good ๐คฉ
First time ordering from this shop โ thank you so much for the fast shipping! I really liked the matcha.
