White leaf tea is a rare type of tea and it is not the same as the Chinese white tea.
This White leaf tea is caused by a natural mutation and a result of a special cultivation technique. White leaf teas have a very high content of free amino acids, which results in a rich umami taste due to the shading process on this tea and this tea is shaded 100% of the sunlight, unlike Gyokuro that is only shaded by 95-98% of sunlight.
Also, due to the special processing of the tea has amazing health benefits. The L-theanine is increased due to the shading of the tea and because of this, it increases the calming effects and also boosts mood. Also, Arginine content is increased which increases the immune system and regulates blood pressure.
