Matcha Hatsu Enishi by Marukyu Koyamaen
Hatsu Enishi (初縁) is Marukyu Koyamaen's shin matcha — a ceremonial-grade tea made from the very first harvest of the season. It's crafted from carefully cultivated sprouting tea buds of an early-maturing cultivar, grown on a shaded tea plantation in Kyoto, Japan.
As a shin-cha (first-flush) release, Hatsu Enishi captures the freshest character of the new season's growth. Expect a mellow, light, creamy-textured matcha with a bright, fresh fragrance and a long, full-bodied finish carrying tender green notes and a mild umami sweetness.
Tasting Notes
Mellow & creamy · Fresh, bright aroma · Long, full-bodied finish · Tender green flavor · Mild umami
